EXPERIENCES
Hi, I'm Laura, an art historian with a passion for exploring the fascinating world of old master paintings. With over 4 years of experience working in the art business and museums, I'm on a mission to make art history accessible to a wider audience and grow engagement in this incredible field.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Art History from Trieste with a dissertation on "Flagellation of Christ" by Piero della Francesca (1416/1417 – 1492)

Master's degree in Economics and Cultural Management from Ca' Foscari University in Venice with a focus on the provenance of Venetian Old Masters paintings

Completed an Erasmus semester at Paris IV La Sorbonne, where I studied Old Masters French Art and perfected my French language skills

Worked as a cataloguer and researcher for four years with old masters' paintings, prints, and drawings in an auction house and as a Museum Educator in the Gemäldegalerie in Dresden

Completed a Master's in Art History at the Technische Universität Dresden with a thesis on the Iconography of Saint Francis (1181/1182 – 1226) in Post-Tridentine Italian paintings

Currently working as a freelance art historian and at the University of Illinois
As someone who has always been captivated by the beauty and mystery of old master paintings, I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career around exploring and sharing their stories.
